Plan to join us for the Joan Y. Leopold Children’s Book Week Celebration

November 6 – November 12, 2023

During each program, Lynnor Bontigao will read aloud from her book Sari-Sari Summers and engage with families and children whether they are in-person or virtual attendees. Each family that registers will receive a signed copy of Sari-Sari Summers. In-person attendees can have their book personalized after the event.

About the Author

Lynnor Bontigao hails from the Philippines and is the author-illustrator of the picture book Sari-Sari Summers. She has also illustrated several other published and upcoming titles. Lynnor received the 2020 SCBWI Tomie dePaola Professional Development Award, the 2020 Kweli/SCBWI Emerging Voice Award, and the 2021 Kweli Sing the Truth! Mentorship. She loves stories where family relationships, culture, and food are intertwined. Lynnor Bontigao lives in Roselle Park, NJ with her family and 1 tiny dog.

Leopold, a life long resident of Dauphin County, served as a board member of the Dauphin County Library System for more than 20 years. A tireless advocate for both child and adult literacy, her belief that reading opens a world of education and imagination lives on in her family, students and all those she touched through her efforts.
