Adopt-A-Shelf
Dust and organize a specific area every week. This is your section to keep neat, clean and in order. Volunteers are essential in this area so customers and staff can locate particular items and enhance the appearance of The Library.
Computer Supporter
Assist with basic computer tasks, on-line job searches, resume writing and preparation of online job applications. From use of the mouse, keyboard, printing and personal storage devices to signing up for email accounts, volunteers help locate and access online resources.
Donations Distributor
Sort, pack, label, stack, and distribute gently used books. Need to have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. with flexible scheduling at Alexander Family Library.
Materials Detective
Search the shelves for materials requested.
Materials Processor
Assist the technical services department at the East Shore Area Library to prepare materials for our customers.
Outreach & Program Promoter
Assist The Library in promoting and providing programs at outreach events.
Shelving Specialist
Return materials to the shelves in perfect order.
Teen Advisory Group
Students work together to create and support library goals.
Youth Service Program Supporter
Support staff at youth programs in the libraries – help set up room or displays, distribute materials, meet and greet participants, take part in activities, always working under the direction of library staff.
