Hi, my name is MeRLin the Magician and I currently reside in a secret, invisible tower located atop the McCormick Riverfront Library with my two pet dragons, Howler (the blue one) and Blackmoor (The green one). In my hidden tower, I practice my magic and spells and eagerly await the return of my trusty dragons who search far and wide for interesting books for me to read.

However, reading and magic are not my only pursuits. If you have read the book, The Once and Future King, you’ll know that I have made it my life’s pursuit to shape and mold tomorrow’s leaders. Luckily, I can peer into the future so I know that all of you have grown up and become the most wonderful people, thanks, in no small part, to your dedication to reading. This is because books are a gateway to the most profound truths. Reading allows us to experience the lives of others and see through their eyes with empathy and understanding.
