HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Library is holding
“Tour de Millersburg and Tie-Dye” at the New Life Center, 346 Center Street,
Millersburg, on Thursday, August 4, at 6:15 pm. The evening will begin with a spaghetti
dinner and a discussion featuring Millersburg Velo Club, a local cycling team,
The cycling team will share their racing
stories and offer insight on their training process, what it’s like to ride at
speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour and what it takes to be a competitive cycler.
They will also give tips on how to get started in the sport. Participants will have
an opportunity to ask members of the cycling team questions. After the discussion,
guests will be able to enjoy the rest of the evening tie-dyeing t-shirts. This
event is open to all ages and t-shirts will be provided.
For those unable to attend the dinner
discussion, there will be another opportunity to tie-dye a t-shirt in support
of racing and reading. Join us at Seal Park, Millersburg, at noon, on Saturday,
August 6, for a special “Just Tie-Dye” event. T-shirts will be provided.
Registration is required for both events. For more information or to register, visit
dcls.org or call your local library. The Library is providing t-shirts for both
events, made possible by a donation in honor of Dr. Barry Daub.
