Welcome to the teen page of the Dauphin County Library System, where you will find information about our young adult services along with links to a number of educational and recreational websites.

Teens find your place @ the library.  Book collections, computers, seating areas and more are provided just for you.  The Dauphin County Library System is also expanding the use of technology to further meet the needs of today’s teens.  You can text a question, email a question, or chat live with a librarian online.

Volunteer Opportunities for Teens

Whether you need to fulfill a community service requirement for your school or church or you just want help your community and gain useful experience, the Dauphin County Library System provides volunteer opportunities for teens.  The minimum age to volunteer is usually 14; however, DCLS will accept volunteers under that age to fulfill community service requirements from a recognized church or school program.

ipl2

ipl2ipl2 is a public service organization and a learning/teaching environment. To date, thousands of students and volunteer library and information science professionals have been involved in answering reference questions for our Ask an ipl2 Librarian service and in designing, building, creating and maintaining the ipl2's collections. It is through the efforts of these students and volunteers that the ipl2 continues to thrive to this day to Teens will find a collection of fun and educational websites that focus on the issues that they find important in the ipl2. Ipl2 includes websites that are trustworthy and organizes them into categories.
