A Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center, the Nonprofit Grants Information Center, housed at our East Shore Area Library, provides free, local, public access to Foundation Directory Online Professional (grants available to nonprofit organizations), Foundation Grants to Individuals Online (educational scholarships, research grants, etc.), and Philanthropy In/Sight (an interactive mapping tool for grantmakers, policymakers, and researchers). Access to the databases is available on a dedicated computer, as well as all the public computers within the library. An accompanying print collection is available for use by nonprofit's and individuals, and yearly workshops are held on topics such as grant-seeking basics, proposal writing, how to approach a foundation, and nonprofit fundraising.
GrantSpace, a service of the Foundation Center, offers information and resources that are specifically designed to meet the needs of grantseekers.
