SUMMARY:The Administrative Assistant for Administration at Dauphin County Library System provides a variety of administrative and clerical support for the Executive Director, Finance Director and the Human Resources Department. This position reports to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, preparing minutes, multidepartment filing and database entry. This position shares the responsibilities of the front office and maintains confidentiality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Two years of general office experience including use of MS Office Suite or equivalent. Requires excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficient in 10-key operations. PA Driver’s license; ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
RATE OF PAY: $12.00-$12.50 per hour
SCHEDULE: Full time Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

DCLS (The Library) provides quality public library service to residents living in a blend of urban, rural, and suburban areas in Dauphin County through eight library locations, a robust website, community outreach activities, and a 24 hour automated phone line.
SUMMARY:Oversees one or more library branch of the Dauphin County Library System; manages the work of branch staff and volunteers; participates in the development and implementation of library services, procedures, and budgets; provides Customer Service to the public; and promotes and interprets programs, activities, and policies of the library system to the community. The Branch Librarian will receive support from a library supervisor, administration, and the other departments of The Library. This full time position is non-exempt and includes days, some evenings, and some weekends; 37.5 hour work week with annual pay of 37,455/year (@$19.21/hr).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
EDUCATION / TRAINING: ALA accredited MLS degree OR MLS degree recognized by The Office of Commonwealth Libraries/PA Department of Education.
EXPERIENCE: Two years supervisory or leadership experience. Customer Service experience in a public library setting preferred.
REQUIRED: Current PA driver's license, excellent communication and technology skills, ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.

SUMMARY: Performs customer services, uses computer software for circulation of materials, and offers basic reference service. Interacts courteously with the public in person and by telephone; opens or closes the building.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Training or experience with computer keyboarding and basic office software. One year experience dealing with the public. Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted to place materials on high and low shelves. . Ability to reach and bend to place books on shelves, kneeling and sitting on the floor during tasks.
RATE OF PAY: $9.55 per hour
SCHEDULE: These are all Part Time/Year Round positions. Schedules vary by location; set schedules may include day, evening, and weekend hours. Open positions are currently available at the Alexander Family Library (Hummelstown) and Johnson Memorial Library (Millersburg).
