Your DCLS Library Card
If you are a Dauphin County resident, you can register for a DCLS library card by bringing your Pennsylvania driver's license or some other identification which has your current address to the nearest branch of the Dauphin County Library System. You can register, get a library card, and check out books the same day.
The Dauphin County Library System will issue cards to any Dauphin County resident from birth to 18 yrs with parental permission and identification provided and to anyone over the age of 18 with proof of current address. For more information call your nearest branch library.
Non-residents should check their local library card for the blue Access PA sticker. This designates your local library
as a participant in the Access PA program. Bring your local card with the sticker to any DCLS library to register for
a DCLS card. Otherwise, there is a $60 fee for non-residents.
Your DCLS Account
As a DCLS cardholder, reviewing your DCLS account information is as easy as:
1 Select a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) and have a library staff member add the PIN to your record. Once the PIN selection is entered, you can change your PIN from any catalog terminal.
2 Select the Your Information option from the library catalog menu (available at library catalog terminals, through dial-up, and on the web).
